Open Door is launching a NEW program called the 'Critical Thinking Program,' designed in partnership with IIT Gandhinagar. This program assists your teachers in teaching critical thinking to students during school hours.
According to a report published by the World Economic Forum in 2020, critical thinking was the second most important skill that employers and educational institutions were looking for in their candidates. Schools that teach critical thinking to their students today will raise adults who are smarter, more creative, and possibly more successful.
This program will help your students develop:1. Critical thinking skills: Evaluation, Analysis, Reasoning, and Interpretation.2. Critical thinking behaviour: Curiosity, Open-mindedness, truth-seeking, Intellectual humility.
1. One class a week: Taken by the teacher.
2. Critical Thinking Exercise book by Open Door for each student.
3. Training for the teachers.
4. Three Critical thinking assessments for students
Listen to the Thinking Classroom song: A catchy tune that showcases a teacher's quest to create a Thinking Classroom.
Open Door offers 'Thinking Assessments' and 'Thinking Classroom' programs to schools. Thinking Assessments is a series of thought-provoking assessments followed by immediate feedback. Thinking Classroom is a set of workbooks of questions that make children think and help teachers speak less while teaching.
Our Thinking Assessments and Thinking Classroom programs focus on Math and Science:
Thinking Assessments (Math & Science): Grades 3–10
Thinking Classroom (Math & Science): Grades 4–10
The Critical Thinking Program—designed to develop critical-thinking skills—is offered for Grades 6–8
Teachers tend to use similar examples every year. By using Open Door's assessments, teachers challenge themselves and students to think deeper. This also provides school management to reliably gauge student understanding through an external body of assessments.
The Thinking Assessment program is mapped to CBSE and ICSE schools, the Thinking Classroom program is mapped to CBSE, and the Critical Thinking program can be integrated into any curriculum.
